Trauma support indications

Trauma has a big influence on our system and can set off a variety of problems and symptoms.
It goes without saying that although some events are more likely to be traumatic than others, it depends on the individual’s ability at that moment in time to cope with these events, if long term trauma symptoms will develop in the system or not.

This work is beneficial for you if you are suffering from PTSD. And it’s still very effective if you have not had any known trauma but still encounter discomforts in the body such as:

  • Anxiety, insomnia, too much sleep, restlessness, depression, low energy
  • Chronic pain syndromes
  • Feelings of disorientation, dissociation, forgetfulness
  • Mood swings, emotional imbalance
  • Post surgical trauma
  • Rage, anger, violence
  • Distrust, suspicious

The range of symptoms is quite extensive to include them all.

If you are suffering in any way, it is recommended to try this work. If you are happy and healthy and want a better relationship with your self and feel more tuned in to your body then this therapy would be beneficial to explore.


This technique is practiced in an easy and casual way. The practitioner helps the client to experience their body in a state of neutral and relaxed awareness and through skillful dialoguing, initiates an exploration of the ‘felt sense’ (bodily awareness). This helps the client to understand the language of the body and its sensations, allowing the  highly aroused survival energies to be safely and gradually neutralized.

The sessions help to re-establish biological responses to come back to normal. It also assists to restore normal nervous system responses through re-negotiation.
Re-enactment of trauma is discouraged as that leads to further fragmentation and dissociation.

This work is safe and sensitive. Respecting the clients boundaries yet letting them realize the possibilities of expansion beyond their present physical and emotional limits.

This work is also beneficial in the absence of a problem, to maintain equilibrium and to learn the language of our body. In chronic cases a series of sessions is recommended for a resolution.
