Food is not just nourishment to the body, it fulfils our heart, it settles the mind, it’s the fulcrum of our social activities, it defines our history, where we come from, what we belong to, it unites people separated by culture and race, it’s our social therapist.

It’s important to give importance to food. To live a fulfilled life we need to start with health in the body. Our body’s design is to replenish, recover and regenerate through food. By bringing awareness to our body, its energy and food requirements, we can engage in Mindful Nutrition.

Mindful Nutrition is a very personal process of nourishing one’s body according to their specific needs, taste, daily schedule, energy balance and requirements of the day. There isn’t any 1 diet plan to fit all. Instead, we work with a somatic based inquiry process:

  • we LISTEN to our body’s signals
  • we FINE TUNE our interoceptive perception to understanding the different types of hunger.
  • we RECOGNISE the hunger – taste dynamic.
  • we UNDERSTAND what the body is hungry for & learn about different healthy foods that satiate our hunger
  • we LEARN about the patterns of unconscious eating, restless eating, forgetting to eat, over eating and it’s implications on our health.
  • We DEVELOP our gut brain axis that guides us in choosing the best food plan for our body.

Her experience in the field of health recoveries – the natural way, spans over 20 years, supporting individuals & families with non invasive modalities, somatic based approach aligning with the biodynamic principles of health.
Zia has trained as a Nutrition Practitioner with SHARAN – India, using food as medicine for disease reversal.
